Abstract:
The current generation of students is accepting of a world in which digital technologies are ubiquitous. They communicate, play and learn with ease in an electronic world while their teachers and parents fret about the impact of a world that often feels alien to them. The debate begun in this introductory chapter, while recognising these apprehensions provides powerful evidence from the psychology literature of the benefits of technology for children's cognitive and social development.Document Type: Research article
